About the Journal
Economic Research and Perspectives is a scholarly journal published by Tarbiat Modares University. The journal began publication under the title Economic Research. Its first issue was published in Spring 2001, and it has since continuously published scholarly research in economics.
In 2004, the journal was officially recognized as a scientific-research journal. Beginning with Vol 13, No 1 (Spring 2013), it was published under the title Economic Research (Growth and Sustainable Development), with a stronger focus on growth, development, and sustainability. This title maintained continuity with the journal’s original title while reflecting its evolving thematic orientation. Beginning with Vol 25, No 3 (Autumn 2025), the journal has been published under its current title, Economic Research and Perspectives.
Over the years, the journal has received several academic recognitions, including a commendation from the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) in 2009, recognition as a commendable scientific-research journal at the Fifth Farabi International Festival in 2011, and selection as Tarbiat Modares University’s best journal in 2016.
The journal also received a Grade A rating in the journal evaluation system of Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
This history, together with the journal’s continuous publication and evolving thematic orientation, reflects its commitment to disseminating rigorous research in economics and related fields
