Abstract

The most important concerns of every government in order to achieve social justice and development are to get rid of the social problems caused by poverty, illiteracy and unemployment, and to fulfill the economic, social and cultural needs of people to establish security and social justice. Therefore, it is forced to adapt appropriate policies for the allocation of resources and facilities available to different economic, educational, therapeutic and recreational sectors. To implement this issue, determining priority and the advantage of different sectors is the first step to be taken in order to allocate optimum sources and facilities. Obviously, with out social classification, planning for development would not be possible. One way to achieve the development of scientific classification is taxonomy. The main concern of this paper is to show the implementation of taxonomy method and advantages of this method for ranking different sectors, and, moreover, to explain how to determine the priority of each sector. This study is descriptive and the methodology used in ofthe document using secondary sources.

Abstract

One of the most important factors which alter job creation to a necessitate is non-oil export capabilities development. The country's foreign exchange income will be increased through paying attention to worth industrial activities Fields. Iran, with huge resource of raw materials, origins and Labor forces have a considerable potential to be developed through industrial activities channel. In other word, industrial sections are not only able to affect commercial development but also may create new opportunities. So, in order to facilitate commercial development, increasing efficiency and productivity, raising production power and job creation in industry recognition and introducing of worth industrial activities must be noticed. In this research, understanding more about different worth industrial activities in order to increase job creation was studied. Priority of job creation in Iran industrial sections is determined by using seniority of important index (Compatible with ISIC codes) and numerical taxonomy method. According to this study priority of different industries considering job creation aim are as below: 1- Textile industry 6- Print and paper industry 2- Mineral industry 7- Miscellaneous industry 3- Wood industry 8- Basic metals industry 4- Machinery industry 9- Chemical industry 5- Food industry

Abstract

Manufacturing sector has an outstanding potential in production, employment, value added and income. This sector also procures machinery and equipment for other sectors .Since a large part of the government investments are allocated to the manufacturing sector; it needs special consideration for the optimum allocation of the limited resources. In this study we have surveyed various strategies covering import substitution, export promotion, basic export and balanced and unbalanced growth. With regard to Iran’s situation and characteristics such as resources, specialties, infrastructure, the unbalanced growth pattern is recommended. The input-output backward and forward linkages have been investigated via the input-output table. Different techniques have been used such as principal component, factor analysis and numerical taxonomy.

Abstract

Identifying and prioritizing the key economic activities has a significant role in economic planning and policy-making, therefore, diverse methods have been developed and presented for this purpose. Besides, nowadays, pollution is also one of the globally critical issues. The aim of this study was to determine the key activities of the agricultural sector by considering carbon emission limitations, using numerical taxonomy methods, demand-driven (Leontief) and supply-driven (Ghosh) models, row and column multiplier, backward and forward dispersion index, carbon emission rate, profitability index and the ratio of water consumption value to value-added. Using numerical taxonomy methods, demand-driven, and supply-driven models, increasing row and column coefficients show that beekeeping and its associated activities are at the highest rank. The results obtained by using these models and backward and forward dispersion indexes show that forestry is also a key activity. These results and analysis of carbon emissions data indicate that the sub-sector forestry and beekeeping activities, which are located in the sub-sector of animal breeding, emit less carbon and create high value-added products.
