Abstract
Examining the meaning of a word with the approach of cognitive semantics, through the radial network, analyzes the change of the meaning of the word in different contexts in the form of a systematic pattern. In this view, the word has a central meaning, which is also seen in the secondary concepts. Based on this, the secondary meanings that are proposed for the word are somehow tied with the central meaning and a semantic network is formed. Due to the fact that this theory can explain the semantic development of the word and clarify how they came about, we decided to use it to explain the semantic network of zikr in the Qur'an with a descriptive and analytical method. Dealing with the word zikr according to this theory leads us to the following conclusions: The linguistic remembrance of Allah along with the presence of the heart is the central meaning of the word zikr. This meaning is the central core of the coherent semantic network, which consists of six radial meanings based on the first meaning.

Abstract

The issue of polysemy has been considered within cognitive approach by Iranian linguists in recent years. That’s because the authors  have  analyzed the  simple form of the verb  /čijən/ (i.e., going) in  kalhori /kermanshaian Kurdish based on principled–polysemy approach proposed by Evans & Green  in 2006. In this qualitative study, the data were collected through Kurdish speakers’ daily conversation and analyzed based on the mentioned approach in a descriptive-analytic way. Also, the authors used Kurdish speakers and their own linguistic intuition to approve the authenticity of the data. The results showed that the prototypical meaning of this verb was “GO” that has forty-five distinct meanings, such as “travel”, “drive”, “migrate”, “flow”, “set”, “finish”, “charge”, “send'', etc. in its own semantic clusters including six distinct semantic clusters. Finally, these forty-five distinct meanings along with their six semantic clusters were illustrated in a semantic network. Also, the findings showed that a favorable explanation of the polysemy of this verb in Kalhori Kurdish can be obtained based on the mentioned approach. The polysemy representation of this verb in Kalhori Kurdish can be useful for a better understanding of the polysemy of other verbs in Kurdish.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effects of energy levels and sources on growth performance, antibody titers, and the gene expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines in broilers exposed to heat stress. 450 one-day-old Ross chickens were assigned to six dietary treatments and five replicates in a completely randomized design. Chickens have received diets differentiated by main energy source (corn grain and soybean oil) and energy level (equal, 3 or 6% lower or higher than Ross 308 recommendation). Treatments were as follows: corn grain and equal as control (CON), corn grain, 3% lower (T1), corn grain, 6% lower (T2), corn grain and soybean oil, equal (T3), corn grain and soybean oil, 3% higher (T4), corn grain and soybean oil, 6% higher (T5). The room temperature was increased to 34 °C (6-h daily) from day 12 to 42 of age to induce heat stress. The highest corticosterone level was observed in the T1, T2, and T5 groups. The lowest antibody titers were observed in the T2 group and the highest expression levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines genes were in chickens receiving T5 diet. The highest feed conversion ratio (FCR) during the grower and finisher periods was observed in T2, and the lowest FCR was observed in T3 and T4 groups. It was recommended to feed Ross broiler chickens with a diet containing oil instead of a part of grain based on energy recommended by the strain recommendation.

Abstract

Since the earlier times, stories on prophets, miracles and their adventurous and instructive life have received special attention as effective elements in the literature domain, embellished literary works and attracted attention of huge number of readers. One of the most enticing, influential and noteworthy of these stories is on Jesus Christ. In the literature of the past, most of the poetical interpretations of him are more under the influence of Islamic point of view and less on Christian one, which in most part is in conflict with Islamic trend of thought on some significant issues. In the modern literature and specially the contemporary Arabic and Persian poetry, the Islamic interpretation of Jesus is encountered by a considerable Christian turn and some concepts like Jesus' sufferings, his crucification, his sacrifice for redeeming the human’s sins and his resurrection after death derived from Gospel find their way into poetical works. These concepts have been converted into mythical and symbolic ones in the Christian art and considerably aid poets in expression of internal anxieties, victimized nations’ suffering, cruelty of governors, cruel governments and so on. Adonis and Ahmad Shamloo are two modernist and experimentalist poets that some parts of their poetry are devoted to symbolic and mythological depiction of Jesus Christ. Relying on American school in comparative study, this comparative study attempts to investigate the motif of Jesus in Adonis and Shamloo’s poetry in a comparative manner and analyze some considerable issues in their poetry including Jesus’ Christian or Islamic aspects, the styles of these two in depicting him, their points of commonality and difference in Jesus' symbolic interpretations and success or failure of each in applying these symbols.

Abstract

Research subject: The use of nanoparticles, especially nano-antibiotics, increases their efficacy. More uniform release of antibiotics is one of the benefits of being nano. They can also be made using ointment or banderol to absorb through the skin to the infection, thereby reducing its side effects. Amoxicillin is one of the most widely used antibiotics in the world which can be prevented by increasing the use of other strong antibiotics if promoted as nanoparticles. Determining the mechanism of nanoparticle formation of this drug is an important factor for its commercial production.
Research approach: The purpose of this study was to determine the nucleation mechanism and time of induction of crystallization of amoxicillin nanoparticles in the presence of surface active agents ‘CTAB’ and ‘SDS’. Therefore, the effect of amoxicillin concentration and stabilizing concentration on the crystallization process was investigated. In this project, a combination of inductive-reactive crystallization was used. In this method, amoxicillin sodium was produced with sodium hydroxide, amoxicillin sodium, has a much higher solubility in water. Then, by adding hydrochloric acid, amoxicillin will be recovered and supersaturated. SEM and DLS analyzes were used to determine the properties of amoxicillin nanoparticles. All the experiments were repeated twice.
Main results: The results show that particles with a mean size of 50 nm were formed, and the particle stability was confirmed up to one week after formation. The results of the experiments show that the nucleation mechanism is the primary type with an average explanatory factor (R2) equal to 0.9887 and adding a stabilizing agent has no effect on the nucleation mechanism.

Abstract

In all languages, grammar instruction is one of the most important concerns of language teaching connoisseurs. In Arabian language, due to its specific structural and instructional properties, grammar and its teaching procedure have been investigated by teachers and connoisseurs for decades. Similarly in Iran, Arabic grammar instruction has been one of the most important components of teaching this language forever; so many of famous connoisseurs and book authors in Arabic grammar are Iranian. However, nowadays, one of the most challenging fields in teaching Arabic in Iran is grammar instruction. Despite of instructing 20 units in B.A. Arabic language and literature, it seems that students are facing with paramount deficiencies in applying Arabic grammar since it is for long years that grammar is instructed with old methods and many professors are not using modern and proper. strategies. The present study attempts to study instructional methods and the rate of implementing proper strategies by a survey and questionnaires. The research findings showed that traditional deductive method is more frequently used in grammar instruction, and new strategies, namely technology and contributive application and strategy, are implemented less than traditional methods in providing feedback information.

Abstract

This paper studies the conditions of production and understanding of the meaning of “Leqa-on Fi LazateRahil” by Nasrin Edris, Lebanese author. The story of “Leqa..” can be studied sustainability from a new semantic point of view, which includes the photographer and the fighters’ active discourses. Hamzah follows the program; his skill in the photography creates the main character in the action. The Commander has an important role in the acquisition of Hamzah’s emotional ability. In the second discourse, the fighters enter into action after the contract and obtaining the ability. Therefore, the main actions are performed simultaneously; the fighters fight and Hamzah takes photos. All procedures are performed respectively. The dominant discourse is intelligent, but emotional processes, especially photographer part, play an important role in the story forming. The aim of this research was to study the semantic process and narrative traits of the “Leqa..” story in order to achieve the main meaning functions and details. Also the effect of emotion on the meaning process has been investigated

Abstract

Study of the experience of women and its difference with that of men has caused to the formation of different approaches about the connection between language and gender. Women and men have different tendencies in the use of some language features (especially vocal). This issue distinguishs their language from each other. Linguistic differences are not so clear and the speakers have not much sensitivity and awareness of them, but by examining the works of women, one can achieve the mentioned features. Among the type of poetries, literary gender has deep ties with poets feeling. Therefore, it provides reflection on the poets’ mind and thoughts. Finally, it has the capacity of analyzing the linguistic gender reflection. Technique of whimper poem is inspired of disaster, and stimulates the poets’ feelings in order to utter his/her grieving poems and affect on the audience. The main subject of this study, using the votes of language sociologists is discussion on the Sa′d Sabbah’s poems at three levels: lexical, syntactic and rhetorical in order to illustrate the connection between language and gender. The results showed that a close relationship exists between sentiment whimper and gender of the poet. And situation of grief has a direct impact on the poems of Sa′d Sabbah. Descriptive and analytical methods were used to explain the subject of this research

Abstract

In the present article, the frequency and percentage distribution of the kinds of tenses have been analyzed. The goal is to discover the narrative stylistics, some aspects of grammatical voices and the degree of distance from reality. The theoretical framework is based on systematic functional grammar and traditional grammar. Its corpus contains 15890 verbs, which have been selected by systematic sampling in which 16 tenses have been analyzed. The statistical findings show hat the present tense with 64% consists the most and the future tense with 3% is the least. The past tense includes 35% of the all. Aspect of the past tense is 4% and of the present is zero. Also the imperative and subjunctive is 18%.  The high percentage of the present tense shows that Rumi enjoys a humanistic philosophy and he thinks of living here and now. He uses the past  stories and events to explain the dispositions of the people, which results in dialogue and polyphony of the present and the past.

Abstract

Aims: Foodborne infections caused by bacteria, including Salmonella enteritidis, Shigella flexneri, and Escherichia coli O157:H7 are one of the most common diseases among poultry and humans. The purpose of this study was the simultaneous and rapid detection of important microorganisms found in fecal samples of poultry and poultry workers.
Materials & Methods: A total of 144 fecal samples were taken from poultry and poultry farms workers. Fecal swabs were cultured on specific media, and biochemical tests were performed for further confirmation of bacterial isolates. Moreover, genomic DNA of fecal swabs was extracted for molecular identification of S. enteritidis, E. coli O157: H7, and S. flexneri species using multiplex-PCR technique.
Findings: According to the multiplex-PCR technique results, 16.7, 13.9, and 9.5% of the poultry samples were positive for the presence of S. enteritidis, E. coli O157: H7, and S. flexneri species, respectively; whereas culture method results showed the corresponding prevalence rates of 18.1, 15.2, and 12.5% for the above species. Moreover, regarding the samples collected from the poultry farms workers, multiplex PCR showed the prevalence rates of 6.9, 12.5, and 4.2% for S. enteritidis, E. coli O157: H7 , and S. flexneri species, respectively; whereas culture method showed the corresponding prevalence rates of 8.3, 13.9, and 13.9% for the above species.
Conclusion: In the current study, the sensitivity and specificity of multiplex-PCR in detecting S. enteritidis, E. coli O157: H7, and S. flexneri species were 74 and 100% for samples taken from the poultry farms workers, and 82.2 and 100% for samples taken from the poultry, respectively, suggesting the possibility of using a designed multiplex-PCR method for rapid detection of infectious agents in poultry farms.

Abstract

Aim: Babies form the most sensitive and most vulnerable group in every society. Some studies have shown that improving the quality of infant sleep is a way to improve the quality of his/her life.
Methods: The present interventional study was conducted on 110 mothers and babies using random sampling in three groups (face-to-face, e-learning and control). Educational interventions included the researcher’s individual meetings with the mothers in the face-to-face training group and giving educational CDs in the e-learning group to improve the quality of infant’s sleep. Information was completed in the parents’ diary registration forms. ANOVA and analysis of variance with repeated measures were used to analyze the data.
Findings: The mean scores of infant sleep quality in the first care before and after the intervention between the three groups of face-to-face training, e-learning and control were not significantly different. While in the second and third cares, infant sleep in e-learning and face-to-face groups was better than in the control group. Moreover, at certain hours of the day, infants in face-to-face group had better sleeping in comparison with those in the e-learning group, and the difference was significant.
Conclusion: Due to lack of statistically significant difference between the three groups in terms of infant sleep and given that increased sleep can be considered as a normal phenomenon in infants, more studies are needed in this area to achieve accurate results.

Abstract

Based on Mikhail Bakhtin’s point of view, the Dialogism, novel, more than anything else, is a linguistic phenomenon, which has a fair correlation between its genuine and its feature of heteroglossia. Language expresses the different social and ideological approaches of the utterances within a translinguistics framework. So the novel compiles all of these diverse social and ideological discourses and utterances. Different Character zones and discourses of the narrator, and embedded genres create a world of different voices and ideologies. From a feminist critique perspective (Gyno criticism), the novel Cheraghha ra Man Khamush Mikonam (I turn off the lights), applies social and cultural differences in different discourses to indicate the writer’s womanly standpoint through various social languages and utterences, and therefore, makes grounds for the promotion of the womanly voice in a multi-linguistic system. Here, through a descriptive-analytical method, we are going to study the “Heteroglossia” feature in the novel Cheraghha ra Man Khamush Mikonam written by Zoya Pirzad in the light of Bakhtin’s dialogism, and also from the Gyno criticism point of view, to analyze the diversity of discourses in this womanly novel. In this novel, the womanly awareness is indicated by the writer, the double-voiced discourse consists of the writer’s double-voice discourse and that of the narrator, embedded genres and the Character’s zones display the different social and cultural levels available, which also result in the appearance of a womanly world in the novel.

Abstract

Text linguistics and the related areas of studies including the knowledge of cohesion is a recent branch of study in linguistics and literary criticism. Like many other linguistic and literary theories, this field has emanated from the western thoughts. Theories of the western society have caused different reactions among the Arab scholars in linguistics and literature. Some insist that such theories and ideas as intersexuality, perception, interpretation, and structuralism originate from Arab societies as part of the Arab heritage as they have already been developed by Arab scholars. Indeed, they are right to some extent. On the other hand, some consider them as totally new and unprecedented. Still there are others who take a more moderate stance, believing that they belong to the west, but trying to accommodate the theories to Arabic distinct features and its rich lexical and literary resources. This article sets out to examine the theories of contemporary Arab scholars in Arabic text linguistics, and suggests that many of them believe that the model of cohesion developed by Haliday cannot account for the Arabic language, attempting to accommodate the model by the deletion or addition of some factors

Abstract

One of the most important challenges in the process of translating the Quran into other languages is the observation of grammatical rules and conveying it into the aim language correctly. «Tazmin» is one of these rules. The application of this rule in the Qur’anic verses has always been controversial. This research, using a descriptive-analytical method, criticizes how the Hebrew translators encountered with the rule of «Tazmin» in Qur’an. The correct translation of «Tazmin» cases is of high importance because it sometimes affects our understanding of the juristic, theological and aesthetic dimensions of the Quranic verses. One of the results of the survey is that the Hebrew translators of the Quran have hardly been successful in grasping and conveying «Tazmin» in their translations. Although Muslim translators have been more successful in this field, they also have in many cases failed in true understanding and translating it, hence making impressions contrary to the principles of the Shariah. The errors of the Hebrew translators are mainly due to their ignorance of the people’s culture at the era of Quran’s revelation and their inability to properly transmit «Tazmin».

Abstract

In our Iranian- Islamic heritage there are lots of luminous and valuable linguistic theories. Abdolghaher Jorjani`s theory of construction is an example of these endeavors in the Islamic linguistics area which has many close relations with western linguistic and critical theories such as Halliday functional theory. There are many common points between these two theoreticians` principles and concepts. This study tries to analyze some of this common points with a descriptive-analytical method in three basic sections: The first one deals with construction theory &systemic grammar. The second deals with construction theory &context.and the third deals with construction theory & textual structure. some of the conclusions of this research are: the convergence between the concept of construction and the concept of systemic grammar, the attention of two theoreticians with the context(linguistic and extralingustic) and its special function in the explanation of meaning of text , the convergence between two theoreticians in special function of speaker and listener in the word order. the present research is going to recognize functional features of Jorjani`s theory by filling the gaps between both theories which belong to old time and contemporary time.
